Getting Started #
- Put on your VR headset: Ensure your VR headset is well charged and powered on.
- Launch ArborXR Home: Depending on your headset and configuration, ArborXR Home might launch automatically upon putting on the headset. If not, consult your headset’s manual or IT department for specific instructions.
Understanding the Environment #
- ArborXR Home typically presents a virtual space that can be a 360° image or a custom environment set by your organization. Please contact us if you are interested in creating a custom environment for your organization.
- Applications and settings will be displayed as icons or menus within this virtual space.
Navigation Methods #
- Controllers: Most VR headsets utilize handheld controllers for interaction. Point the controller towards the icon you want to select and press the trigger button (or equivalent button depending on your headset) to activate it.
- Gaze Tracking (if supported): Some VR headsets might use gaze tracking, where focusing your gaze on an icon selects it.
Launching Applications #
- Once you’ve located the desired application icon, point your controller towards it and press the trigger button.
- The VR application will launch, replacing the ArborXR Home environment.
Accessing Settings and Exiting ArborXR Home #
- Look for and select the “Settings” button or icon on the main menu within ArborXR Home.
- Within the Settings menu, you should find an option to “Exit ArborXR Home” or return to your device’s home environment.
