Basic Headset Troubleshooting

Power Issues #

  • Headset won’t power on:
    • Ensure the headset is properly charged. Check the battery level indicator light.
    • Try a different power source or charging cable.
    • If the issue persists, the battery or charging port may need to be replaced.
  • Headset turns off unexpectedly:
    • Check the battery level and recharge the headset if needed.
    • Ensure the headset is not overheating. Move it to a cooler environment.

Tracking Issues #

  • Headset/controller tracking is unstable/inaccurate:
    • Check that the tracking cameras are clean and unobstructed.
    • Ensure the play area is well-lit and free of reflective surfaces.
    • Try recalibrating the headset and controllers.
    • If the issue persists, the tracking sensors may need to be replaced.

Controller Issues #

  • Controllers not pairing/connecting:
    • Ensure the controllers have sufficient battery charge.
    • Check that Bluetooth is enabled on the headset and controllers.
    • Try repairing the controllers with the headset.
    • If the issue persists, the controller hardware may need to be replaced.
  • Controllers not responding/functioning properly:
    • Check the battery level and replace the batteries if needed.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the controllers and headset.
    • Try recalibrating the controllers.
    • If the issue persists, the controller hardware may need to be replaced.

Software/App Issues #

  • Apps crashing or not functioning properly:
    • Ensure the headset and app software are up-to-date.
    • Try clearing the app cache or reinstalling the app if side-loaded.
