Futurus names Amy Stout as Chief Operating Officer. In this new role, Amy will be responsible for spearheading Futurus’ day-to-day operations and executing the vision for the company’s growth. “Amy has been an integral member of the team for years as one of our first full-time hires. Her dedication to the success of the business and the advancement of the extended reality industry is an incredible asset to the company. I couldn’t be more elated to have her at the helm with me,” stated Annie Eaton, Futurus CEO.
In her role as Creative Director, she was instrumental in positioning Futurus as the leading virtual and augmented reality production studio in Atlanta, Georgia, and throughout the Southeast. She joined the company in 2017 and has proven to be a key component in the success of Futurus. During her time with the company, she has created strategic brand marketing campaigns, produced immersive experiences, recruited top talent, launched a consumer VR game, and advised on business practices. Futurus has quadrupled in headcount and seen a 6x growth rate since she started at the company.
Amy Stout brings with her over a decade of experience in marketing and business acumen, half of which was with Futurus. She holds a BA in Journalism Advertising from the Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia. In addition to her role at Futurus, she is an advisor for AIXR’s Enterprise Training & Development group, and a founding member of Women in XR Atlanta, where she uplifts women working in the tech field and volunteers her time mentoring young women who are interested in the XR industry.
