News Reporter/MMJ
This is a rare opportunity to join one of Florida's top TV stations. WTVT FOX 13 in Tampa is looking to hire a News Reporter/MMJ. We are the dominant station in the market and continue to evolve the way we serve our viewers. Besides our traditional newscasts, we are a streaming first news organization. As a weekday Reporter/MMJ you will innovate, write, and deliver compelling content across every platform, from the linear news cast to a breaking news livestream. You will at times be required to shoot and edit your content as well. This bureau position will cover beautiful Pinellas County along the Gulf coast, home to St. Petersburg and Clearwater.
We want a journalist who has evolved beyond linear television thinking and workflows. The content you create will be designed for all our news platforms. It's not always about turning a news package, it's about connecting with our viewers to tell stories for all platforms. As a bureau reporter covering the most densely populated county in Florida, you have opportunities to cover the vibrant coastline and growing downtowns. If you have a passion for visual storytelling and the drive to lead the digital frontier, your next big story starts here.
Job Snapshot:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a reporter is preferred. A reel that demonstrates your ability to shoot, edit and produce content will get you noticed. This is not an entry-level position or a position for candidates who do not have a news gathering background.
