12 Jan CES 2018: Day 3
Day 3 was our last full day at CES. Here’s a round-up of our top picks.
Peter’s Pick:
This was not the first time we’ve seen the Insta360, but it is still one of the better devices at this year’s CES.
Up until now, 360 filming has been a complicated process consisting of convincing 6+ cameras that they were one device. With the Insta360 the process is simplified and not only is it a lot easier to get footage but this system includes features out of the box that used to be unreasonably expensive and difficult like in-camera stitching, self-stitching, and live streaming.
We like it so much that we already have our team using it! We’ll post more about it later this year.
Annie’s Pick:
Because of our great relationship with MSI, we got to attend the MSI Full Circle after party. This was a great networking opportunity, but it also gave us a chance to relax and have fun after a long week of exploring. Thanks MSI for including us and we can’t wait to see where our work leads us using your hardware!
Paul’s Pick:
I’ve always enjoyed racing simulators and VR is making them even more realistic and fun!
Thanks to HTC’s booth I was able to try the new VIVE Pro virtual reality headset and haptic chair at the same time and it was everything I had hoped it would be. I could have left the real world behind and spent hours racing the best cars and tracks and would have if it wasn’t for everyone else wanting to do the same thing. The potential for training is high too, with a setup this real you can learn to drive anything.
Amy’s Pick:
The Futurus office is all about ergonomics. We have comfortable chairs and sit/stand desks, but we found one product that may completely take away the sedentary nature of office work.
The Deskcise Pro is an ergonomic exercise bike made to fit under a standing desk so that you can work out while you work. Flexispot also sells monitor arm mounts. Here you can see Peter and Paul begging for a six monitor display with arm mounts.
